Stay at a hotel with a hot tub in the room–you can’t go wrong there.
It really depends on where you are going–are there any local attractions that might make a good romantic setting?
Go to the best places you can afford–don’t skimp but splurge. It’s only money. Go someplace with a big lake and go to the beach at sunset–bring along some winter apparel though I guess.
Be crazy and do wacky things together–like throw caution to the wind you know?
Usually the best getaways are the ones that are not planned ahead of time–that way things will never turn out bad because you didn’t have any preconceived notions of how things should go.

LOTS of candles.. rose petals in the bath tub..
manicure set ( its so cute when couples give each other pedicures) umm.. a sex-game should always be fun.. get a piece of paper and pen..both write down 10 things you love about each other.. personality wise and physically .. these will create some intimacy between you two and some "lets take all our feelings out to the bed right now" kinda time
